Karen Lancaume (January 19, 1973 – January 28, 2005) was a French pornographic film actress. She appeared in around 40 movies between 1996 and 2002.[1] She is best known internationally for her starring role as Nadine in the controversial 2000 film, Baise-moi. This was the mainstream film in which she performed unsimulated penetration and fellatio.
She was born Karen Bach in the suburbs of Lyon. Her father is French and her mother is of Moroccan origin. She spent her childhood in the Lyon countryside and completed her studies in communications. After studying business, she met and married a DJ named Franck. At his suggestion, she began working in adult films as a means to escape crippling debts.[2] She and her husband started doing scenes as a couple. In the 1997 film L'Indécente aux enfer she also started to have scenes with other partners. Once they had divorced, her ex-husband quit but Karen remained in the industry and continued to appear in pornographic films both in Europe and the United States.
She was a nominee for the Best French Actress Hot d'Or in 2000.[3][4]
Lancaume committed suicide on January 28, 2005 by taking an overdose of temazepam in her boyfriend's apartment.[2]
Her screen name is a pun on Lancôme.
